Home Bass: DJ Contest 2024

As members of the Dance Music community, we understand the importance of recognizing ever-growing talent. We aim to inspire the Home Bass community to continue pursuing the art of music and creativity. We know there are so many incredibly talented artists and producers, and we want to give you the chance to have your moment at Home Bass 2024! We encourage DJs and producers in the Home Bass community to enter our 2024 DJ Contest for a chance to be on this year's lineup.

All you need to do is create a NEW 30-minute mix. This can be any genre of EDM music that is your specialty. We will be choosing 10 winners based on top likes on Soundcloud and favorites within the Home Bass team. New music trends, special edits, and unreleased music are highly recommended! The mix will be judged on cohesiveness, originality, and uniqueness.

PLEASE READ ALL of the instructions, qualifications, and rules before you get started to be 100% sure you’re eligible to participate. Limited to one entry per person - duplicate submissions and entrants will be disqualified.

HOW TO ENTER

  • Step 1: Read ALL of the instructions, qualifications, and rules below before you get started to be 100% sure you’re eligible to participate.
  • Step 2: Create a mix no longer than 30 minutes inspired by your sound. 
  • Step 3: Upload your mix to Soundcloud, and be sure the mix isn’t on a private setting.
  • Step 4: Download and use the cover art provided HERE.
  • Step 5: Use the following format for your mix’s title: “Home Bass: 2024 DJ Contest: – YOUR DJ NAME” (i.e., “Home Bass: 2024 DJ Contest: – DJ Homie”)
  • Step 6: Tag the mix with “#HomeBass2024 DJ Contest”. To do that, under the "Genre" drop-down, choose custom, and type in the tag. If you fail to tag the mix correctly, your entry may be missed. Once tagged, we’ll add your mix to the playlist for easy listening.
  • Step 7: Fill out the short submission form providing your contact information, a mix link, and a brief explanation of why you think you deserve a DJ slot at Home Bass 2024.
  • Step 8: Once your mix is public and your form is submitted, share your mix on your social media and get your friends and fans to vote for you by liking and commenting on your mix. Any use of bots to increase like count will be a disqualification.

JUDGING

Judging will be done by the entire Home Bass team. Getting the most likes/comments on your mix will increase exposure and consideration, but the winners will ultimately be chosen by the judging panel. It’s your goal to increase your mix likes on Soundcloud!

WINNERS WILL RECEIVE:

  • 1 Weekend Party Pass for yourself & +1 Weekend Party Pass for a guest
  • 1 set at Home Bass NEW Silent Disco Stage (Day & Time TBD)
  • Your name on the Official 2024 Lineup Flyer!

SUBMISSION DEADLINES

  • Submission deadline: Sunday, September 1st at 11:59 pm EST
  • Winner announcement: Friday, September 6th
